Federal Government Commence Survival Fund Payment For New Batch

The Federal Government of Nigeria has said that the Survival Funds payment to qualified beneficiaries has Commence for new Batch.

This was made known on a Twitter post by the ' Presidency Nigeria' official Twitter handle @NGRPresident.

According to the ' Presidency Nigeria' , a new batch of 146, 065 successful beneficiaries from 28 States have started receiving payment of N30, 000 per month under the payroll support track.

Under the @SurvivalFund_ng' s General MSME Grants track— a one- off grant of N50, 000 to each qualified MSME as direct cash injection— 46, 117 successful beneficiaries in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and 36 States have now started receiving their payments.

The Presidency has also added that this total number of beneficiaries makes up 50% of the required disbursement per State, for the General MSME grants track. Another batch that completes the target is forthcoming. " The Presidency added.

Before the commencement of the current payment, the PDO had in an update stated that 319, 755 MSME Employees have been paid under the Payroll Supports Track out of the proposed 500, 000 MSME Employees to receive a 3 month N30, 000– N50, 000 Salary Supports under the Track.

The PDO added that 265, 425 Nigerians have been paid the N30, 000 Artisan/Transport Grant out of the proposed 333, 000 Nigerians to benefit under the track.

The MSME Survival Funds Scheme initiated by the President Mohammadu Buhari led administration is one of the several Schemes the Government has employed to reduce the impact of the COVID- 19 Pandemic on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the National Economic Sustainability Plan (NESP)
